Mad City Pond Hockey Championships Divisions

EIGHTEEN NON-CHECK DIVISIONS


Please use the following division descriptions as a guideline when choosing a division.  It is advised that you place your team based on the experience of your team's strongest three players as opposed to your weaker players.  If your chosen division is full, you will be permitted to register for divisions ABOVE your ability, based on availability.



Gold: (21+)Team is comprised primarily of advanced to elite level players 21 years of age and older.  These players may have professional (any level, including Europe),  NCAA Division I and III College, Major Jr. and Junior A playing experience.

Gold: (30 and older) - Team is comprised primarily of advanced to elite level players 30 years of age and older.  These players may have professional (any level, including Europe),  NCAA Division I and III College, Major Jr. and Junior A playing experience.

Gold (40 and older) - Team is comprised primarily of advanced to elite level players 40 years of age and older.  These players may have professional (any level, including Europe),  NCAA Division I and III College, Major Jr. and Junior A playing experience.

Women- Gold -   Team is comprised primarily of advanced to elite level players 21 years of age and older.  These players may have professional (any level, including Europe),  NCAA Division I and III College playing experience.

Women- Silver - Team is comprised primarily of intermediate level players 21 years of age and older.  These players may have played varsity high school or non-varsity college (ACHA) levels or have 10+ years of women's adult hockey playing experience.

Women- Bronze - Team is comprised primarily of beginner to novice level players 21 years of age and older.  These players may have some youth playing experience, but are predominantly beginners with 1-9 years of playing experience as an adult.  

Women- Bronze 35+ - Team is comprised primarily of beginner to novice level players 35 years of age and older.  These players may have some youth playing experience, but are predominantly beginners with 1-9 years of playing experience as an adult. 

Silver: (21+) - Team is comprised primarily of advanced level players 21 years of age and older.  Players may have Junior A, B, C, Non-varsity college (ACHA), Midget major, Prep or Varsity High School playing experience.  Teams may be comparable to traditional high "B" or low "A" level adult house league teams.

Silver: (30 and older) - Team is comprised primarily of advanced level players 30 years of age and older.  Players may have Junior A, B, C, Non-varsity college (ACHA), Midget major, Prep or Varsity High School playing experience.  Teams may be comparable to traditional high "B" or low "A" level adult house league teams.

Silver: (40 and older) - Team is comprised primarily of advanced level players 40 years of age and older.  Players may have Junior A, B, C, Non-varsity college (ACHA), Midget major, Prep or Varsity High School playing experience.  Teams may be comparable to traditional high "B" or low "A" level adult house league teams.

Bronze: (21+) - Team is comprised primarily of less experienced adult players 21 years of age and older.  A few players may have up to high school playing experience, but most of the team has limited youth playing experience or several years playing as an adult.  These teams may be comparable to tradtional "C" level adult house league teams.

Bronze: (30 and older) - Team is comprised primarily of less experienced adult players 30 years of age and older.  A few players may have up to high school playing experience, but most of the team has limited youth playing experience or several years playing as an adult.  These teams may be comparable to tradtional "C" level adult house league teams.

Bronze: (40 and older) - Team is comprised primarily of less experienced adult players 40 years of age and older.  A few players may have up to high school playing experience, but most of the team has limited youth playing experience or several years playing as an adult.  These teams may be comparable to tradtional "C" level adult house league teams.

Beginner – Team is entirely comprised of beginner adult players 21 years of age and older.  The majority of the team consists of players with 1-5 years of entry level playing experience as an adult.

Co-Ed - Team is comprised of adult players with males and females on the same team.  Each team must have at least 2 males and 2 females within their team.  

(50 and older Tier I) - Intended for higher skilled teams comprised of advanced level players 50 years of age and older who have had many years of playing experience and / or significant past playing experience (college, professional, etc.).  All players must turn 50 years of age by the start date of the tournament. 

(50 and older Tier II) - Intended for novice to intermediate skill level teams comprised of players 50 years of age and older.  The majority of the team consists of participants with minimal playing experience.  All players must turn 50 years of age by the start date of the tournament. 

( 60 and older OPEN) - Team is comprised of players from all levels that are 60 years of age and older.  All players must turn 60 years of age by the start date of the tournament.
